The kitchen is the hardest-working room in any flat, and it is the first place a buyer runs a hand along to check the work. We take on the civil side of it end to end — the platform, the counter, the dado behind it, and every water and drainage point that has to land exactly where the fit-out expects it.
Levels are what make or break a kitchen. A platform that falls the wrong way pools water against the wall, and a counter joint sitting proud catches every cloth that crosses it. We set out the whole run against a datum before anything is cast, so the finished surface reads as one continuous plane rather than a series of corrections.
Anyone can lay the material. What separates a finish that holds up from one that does not is the work that happens before it goes on.
The full platform run is marked and levelled against a single datum first, so counter, dado and sink all reference the same line instead of being adjusted into place afterwards.
Platform tops and sink surrounds are laid with a deliberate fall towards the drainage point, so standing water never sits against the wall junction.
Sink and hob openings are templated against the fitting that will be installed rather than a catalogue dimension, which keeps the stone supported at the edges.
Inlet and outlet lines are run and checked before any tiling closes over them. Nothing goes behind a finish on trust.
Tell us where the structure has reached and what the scope looks like. We will visit the site and come back with a plan for the finishing work.
